Permit Pathfinder uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. This page explains what we use and why.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. We use both first-party cookies (set by us) and third-party cookies (set by services we use, such as analytics and payment providers).
Essential cookies
These are required for the platform to function. They keep you logged in, maintain your session, and secure forms against fraud. Essential cookies cannot be turned off, because the platform would not work without them.
Preference storage
Cookies and similar browser storage remember choices you make, such as your preferred analysis intent (Rental, Flip, Development) or recently viewed properties, so you do not have to re-enter them. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.
Analytics cookies
Optional app analytics is off until you explicitly accept it. You can reject it without losing access to sign-in, research or payments, and change your choice in the Privacy Center. Custom events cover sample-report views, signup prompts, account creation, report generation and checkout starts. Custom event properties are restricted to approved feature, plan and billing-period labels. The analytics service may associate activity with a session or signed-in account and collect page paths, referral/campaign details and session timing; it is not necessarily anonymous.
Payment cookies
Our payment processor, Stripe, may set cookies to enable checkout and prevent fraud. These are required to complete purchases securely. Stripe's cookie use is governed by its own privacy policy.
Third-party services
Third-party services that may set cookies or similar browser storage include Stripe (payments) and the analytics built into our hosting platform, Base44. Each operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell data collected through cookies to any third party.
Managing cookies
Accept or reject optional app analytics using the consent banner or the Privacy Center. Your choice is stored locally for 180 days on this browser and site; it does not follow you across devices or accounts. Changing it refreshes the page. Clearing browser storage resets the choice and optional app analytics stays off until you accept again. Blocking essential browser storage may prevent sign-in or purchases. We do not currently interpret browser Do Not Track signals as a substitute for this choice.
This preference controls optional analytics sent through our app, not all platform activity. Base44 may still collect page views and login activity. Session recording is a separate platform setting and is not controlled by this preference; necessary service, security and payment-provider records are also separate.
Changes to this policy
If we add new services that use cookies, or change how existing cookies are used, we will update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
